The pattern of reducing the generational gap using the Instagram social network (qualitative analysis based on the Grounded Theory approach)

Abstract
The aim of this study was to identify the constituent elements of the generation gap reduction model using the Instagram social network. In terms of applied purpose, research is qualitative data based on the data foundation method and in terms of implementation, it is an exploratory survey. The statistical population consisted of experts and key informants in the field of research subject area, including university professors, who based on a conscious approach and purposeful method and snowballs, 20 people, were selected for interview. Library data collection method (documentation) and field method (interview and Delphi technique) were used. In order to determine (retesting the method of doing work), pluralism in the researcher (reliability test between coders) and participatory pluralism (using new interviewees to test the reliability of the model). Finally, theoretical coding technique was used to analyze the data. The results showed that the model of reducing the generation gap by using the social network Instagram has 79 concepts, 42 sub-categories and 16 main categories that the components of the final paradigm model are: causal conditions (redefining the role of families, media literacy, Role-playing of famous characters); Interventionist conditions (cultural change, bloggers); Governing context (macro-cultural management of cyberspace, formation of technical and supervisory committees, socialization institutions); Central category: family solidarity (family friendship and intimacy in cyberspace, close family relationships); Strategies (socio-cultural planning, intergenerational education, content creation and presentation, opportunity creation from threats) Consequences (controlling the negative consequences of intergenerational cultural change, real identification, globalization, preservation of traditional values).
