Abstract
Environmental crises, including prolonged droughts have resulted in water scarcity and agricultural land degradation, have become among the most critical environmental challenges in Iran. .
Emphasizing the aforementioned issues, study addresses this crucial subject through a quantitative research design utilizing the survey method. The statistical population for the quantitative phase comprised Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) employees, social media activists, and journalists. A total of 200 questionnaires were distributed and collected using stratified random sampling, of which 182 were deemed valid for analysis.
“Human Resource Specialization and Empowerment” ranked fifth with a coefficient of 0.28, while “Complex Contextual Challenges and Backgrounds” ranked sixth as a hindering factor with a negative coefficient of -0.25. The positioning of specialization at the lowest level among positive factors may initially seem surprising, given that in much of the media and communication literature, “specialized personnel” is identified as a primary pillar of quality and credibility. . The respondents, recognizing structural and institutional weaknesses as the primary barriers to integration, correctly believe that even in the presence of highly capable journalists and experts, such capabilities will be deployed in a fragmented and uncoordinated manner without integrating structures and shared protocols, thereby failing to yield the desired outcomes.
