Abstract
In Clifford Geertz's anthropological system, the interpretation of "sacred matter" is done by studying the relationship between culture and religion. Sacred matters have a semiotic nature that is obtained by interpreting signs, studying rituals and extracting meaning from sacred signs. According to Geertz, belief in the sacredness of things is rooted in religious beliefs. It is in rituals that religious beliefs are formed in a person and the person internalizes it as a part of his existence. This research aims to present a model of the reality of people's worldview and represent them by studying rituals and beliefs with the help of a set of sacred symbols.
During the study of the films, it was observed that the sacred matter appears in the taste of cherries in the funeral ritual, and the soil appears as a sacred sign in the beliefs of people throughout the film. In the movie "The wind will take us away", the importance of the Gisobran religion is highlighted as a religious belief, and the movie "Life and nothing else" represents the concept of good and evil in a way that all good and bad events are seen as a sacred concept in the people's belief. is attributed
