Situational crime prevention mechanisms in the advertising business in Iran

Abstract
Today, the impact of the commercial advertising industry on the economic and social areas is undeniable. Given this role, the possibility of abusing this industry, is always available to the offenders. Therefore, it seems necessary to create prevention mechanisms, especially situational prevention mechanisms, for these crimes. The present article, which aims to study the mechanisms of situational prevention of crime in commercial affairs, and is written in a library, analytical, and descriptive manner, has come to this conclusion that the importance of advertising in the legal system of Iran has not been properly institutionalized for legislator. And because of the lack of comprehensive and constitutional law in this regard, a sufficient and enough precautionary criminal policy has not been formulated for crime in business affairs. While, with the situational prevention mechanisms,such as monitoring and inspecting the operation of advertising agencies, organizing policy makers, explicit advertisements, identifying interested enterprises on commodities, promoting media literacy etc. Without resorting to oppressive politics, we can prevent the occurrence of crimes in commercial affairs.
