Abstract
The present study was conducted with the aim of investigating the difference in promoting free-thinking and free space in the family in social networks among married women living in Tehran and Istanbul. In the current research, in order to identify the current situation, the presence of middle-aged women in Tehran and Istanbul in the virtual space was measured using a descriptive method. Also, a survey method was used to carry out descriptive research; Therefore, it is quantitative in nature and practical in terms of purpose. The statistical population in the survey section included all married women aged 30 to 55 active in social networks living in the cities of Tehran and Istanbul. The size of the statistical sample was determined by Cochran's formula of 384 people. In order to collect information with a field approach, a researcher-made questionnaire tool was used, after verifying its validity and reliability, 192 questionnaires were sent and completed for distribution among Tehrani women and 192 questionnaires were sent and completed with the participation of women living in Istanbul. Central indices of descriptive statistics and dispersion indices were used for descriptive analysis of research data. The results indicate that in terms of religious and cultural beliefs, there are many similarities between the two studied societies.
