Abstract
In the time of the covid-19 pandemic, the role of e-learning is important. With this technology, all activities, especially educational activities, can continue. The present study seeks to investigate how much electronic education, waste of time and social anxiety cause social isolation and to what extent it affects the social laziness of students. Due to the spread of the Corona virus, the questionnaire was distributed to 540 students online using Google Forms. Data were collected from a statistical sample of Payam Noor University students in Khuzestan province. In this regard, the respondents had the following criteria: at least 4 semester undergraduate students and above and at least 20 years old. With these criteria, 385 samples were obtained. The dependent variable of students' social laziness and the independent variables include e-learning, time wasting and social anxiety and the intervening variable of social isolation. This research was conducted through the structural equation model with the approach based on the combined variance. The results of the research showed that electronic education, time wasting, social phobia and social isolation have a positive and significant effect on students' social isolation. However, the time wasting variable does not have a positive or direct effect on students' social laziness. Therefore, the research results can be effective as a basis for designing coping strategies to reduce the social laziness of students in a scientific environment for the desire to progress.
