The current research was conducted with the aim of predicting socio-political actions based on the feeling of social justice with the mediating role of social responsibility in young people (women and men). The research method was descriptive and correlation type (path analysis). The statistical population was 11,030 undergraduate students of Mohaghegh Ardabili University. According to the Krejci-Morgan sample size determination table, 397 people were selected as a sample using available sampling method. The data collection tools were the scale of socio-political activities in social media (SASSM; Wilf& Wray-Lake, 2023), the scale of social responsibility of Schuyt, Smit & Bekkers (2004) and the scale of sense of social justice of Hazarjiribi (2013). Data were analyzed by SPSS24 and AMOSE24 software. The findings showed significant relationships between the research variables (P<0.01). In general, 81% of socio-political actions could be explained based on the feeling of social justice. The variables of sense of social justice and social responsibility had a significant direct effect on socio-political actions in social media (P<0.001), and the indirect effect of sense of social justice was equal to (β=0.53) and the significance of the mediator variable was confirmed by the Sobel test. All path analysis indicators had a good fit and the research model was confirmed. Compared to men, women had significant differences in the main research variables (P<0.01). It is concluded Low sense of social justice along with high social responsibility predicts socio-political actions in social media.
