Hermeneutics was first introduced in a religious context, i.e. the discussion of the possible methods of achieving a correct interpretation of the Bible. But the introduction of hermeneutics into the human sciences has entailed controversies: It has been accused of relativism and not relying on a solid theoretical foundation. Gadamer, as one of the leading protégés of Martin Heidegger, has been very influential in the development of hermeneutics theory in the 20th century. His arguments mainly center around the question of understanding: What happens when we understand a text or another person? Is the idea of an objective meaning a defensible argument? Gadamer argues that texts do not have objective meanings but that does not necessarily mean that we should embrace relativism. The article then considers the argument between Habermas and Gadamer concerning the Enlightenment ideal of critique. The final section of the text takes into the account the idea of understanding another person, saying that requires not theory but spending time with another person. The writer argues that true understanding cannot come through theories alone but entails a living alongside one another for a long period of time}, keywords = {"Hermeneutics","Interpretation","Gadamer","Text","Relativism"}, title_fa = {تفسیر: هرمنیوتیک چیست؟}, abstract_fa = {هرمنوتیک، به‌عنوان نظریه تفسیر، ابتداً در رابطه با تفسیر متن دینی و در بستری پروتستان مطرح شد: اینکه تفسیر متن دینی چیست و آیا هر تفسیری از متن مقدس را می‌توان پذیرفت؟ اما ورود نظریه هرمنوتیک به علوم انسانی و اجتماعی پرحاشیه و دامنه‌دار بوده است. از سویی عده‌ای معتقدند که هرمنوتیک به نسبی‌گرایی منجر شده است که هر تفسیری را موجه می‌شمرد. از سوی دیگر هرمنوتیک به "غیر تئوریک" بودن متهم شده است که بر چارچوب خاصی استوار نیست. گادامر به‌عنوان یکی از شاگردان اصلی هایدگر، یکی از اصلی‌ترین چهره‌های مهم هرمنوتیک در قرن بیستم بوده است که به مسئله فهم پرداخته است: سؤال اصلی گادامر این است که فهم یک متن و یا فهم دیگری چیست و در فرایند فهم چه اتفاقی روی می‌دهد؟ آیا می‌توان از ایده معنای عینی متن دفاع کرد؟ مقاله همچنین به نزاعی که میان گادامر و هابرماس دربارۀ ایدآل نقد روشنگری وجود دارد می-پردازد و پاسخ گادامر به اتهام نسبی‌گرایی را به‌تفصیل بیان می‌کند: اینکه آگاهی به محدودیت‌ها در فهم لزوماً به نسبی‌گرایی منجر نخواهد شد. در قسمت پایانی مقاله مسئله فهم دیگری مطرح می‌شود. نویسنده استدلال می‌کند که فهم دیگری به نظریه وابسته نیست فهم اساساً یک موضوع نظری نیست. فهم با بردباری و از زندگی با دیگران ناشی می‌شود.}, keywords_fa = {"هرمنوتیک","تفسیر","گادامر","متن","نسبی‌گرایی"}, url = {https://www.jscm.ir/article_70449.html}, eprint = {https://www.jscm.ir/article_70449_a416adf7c20a15069222982d0ed5c2f4.pdf} }
